Meet Kim

As the child of parents working in the fashion and advertising industry in New York City, Kim Wadsworth has created her own journey in a similar realm as a makeup artist, fashion stylist, fashion and lifestyle writer and magazine editor. Her company Wadsworth Style, founded in 1990, offers makeup application and fashion consulting to numerous companies, television stations and individuals for commercial and personal bookings. Some of her many clients include WHRO, WVEC, WTKR, Towne Bank, Monarch Bank, Amerigroup, Norfolk Southern, Beach Ford, Willis Furniture, Cox Communications, Dollartree and Gold Key PHR Hotels & Resorts to name a few.
Additionally, Kim offers private makeup lessons; closet organization; and style guidance.

Her bridal company, BridesMade ensures that brides and their entourage go down the aisle looking and feeling beautiful. Kim and her beauty team of makeup artists and hair stylists travel to any location, offering complete beauty services in a relaxed and stress-free environment. Kim creates a personalized beauty schedule for each package, ensuring a timely event.

Kim is also the founding editor-in-chief of Vow Bride Magazine, now in its fourteenth year. Each semester she mentors a college or graduate level student interested in learning about fashion, publishing and creative writing, as her personal intern at Vow Bride. She is a guest speaker at numerous high schools and universities throughout the country. Most recently she added the University of Texas at Austin as her newest speaking venue.

For over 17 years, Kim has been a beauty guide to women struggling with cancer treatments through American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better Program. For over 6 years, she has volunteered as a makeup artist for photo sessions for the Flashes of Hope Program at CHKD Hospital for children and their families. She also participates in fundraising events for numerous causes including the Chrysler Museum of Art; St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children; Beyond Boobs; the Foodbank of Hampton Roads; JobSpa; and WHRO.

Kim’s life-long goal is to spread enthusiasm for fashion and beauty; to make every bride look and feel radiant; and to elevate the self-esteem of everyone she meets.
